![]() ![]() That’s all I can think of for the moment, but I might have a few more questions later. #EXTRA STUFF ADDED IN DISGAEA 2 PC PSP#How are the PSP ports of Disgaea 2 and 3? I get that Disgaea 3 also has the Complete version (plus I can stream it on PS Now), but what about Disgaea 2? I ask since that one’s not on any modern consoles strangely. Also, is Disgaea 1 Complete on the Switch any different, or Disgaea Portable? I figure no, but I was considering picking up Disgaea 1 Complete later on (just too hard to find a physical copy). I’m fine with switching to DS if it’s any “better” since I’m only on the 2nd chapter (on the Flonne boss fight, no less). So far I’ve found AoD to be way more difficult compared to Disgaea D2 or 5, especially since I can’t just keep dying and still be grinding at the same time (it took me like 4-6 whole “cycles” to finally beat Dark Adonis). So I was wondering which one I should play? I know they each have their differences, but my main concern would be difficulty of either. I’ve been playing AoD silent since the voice acting is pretty lousy (more specifically voices like Flonne’s just sound way too bad haha), but I found out DS is newer and I won’t care if it doesn’t have voice acting or anything (which it doesn’t). For context I’m trying to play various games of the series, mainly the older ones unavailable on newer consoles via the easiest way possible (emulating on my computer):įirst, for Disgaea 1, I’ve got both Afternoon of Darkness and Disgaea DS downloaded. Are there any other good shorthands for a match-up? Or is it just check their stats or queue an attack over them to see what it's prediction is.ģ) Is there some blanket modifier that the "Carn" tag adds to a character? Like, obviously a "Carn" enemy is a stronger version of the regular version, but how much stronger? Do they have any consistent special abilities or evilities? Some flat multiplier to all stats? Is my growth rate just that aptitude value shown? Or are there other hidden factors I'm not seeing?Ģ) This has been true for a while, but especially now that I'm doing Carnage Dimension stuff level is a pretty useless metric for guessing how strong an enemy is going to be. Like, are my raw stat upgrades from shards wiped when I re-incarnate? Or banked somewhere. What I don't understand is how all this comes together. I see that I can increase my aptitudes when I re-incarnate as well as certain other tiles in Chara World, which I assume impacts how my stats grow as I level up. I can increase my raw stats with shards/extracts as well as certain tiles in Chara World. Laharl - Flonne - Kurtis - Axel - Fubuki - Asagi - Zetta - Priere - Marjoly - Mid-Boss - Mao - Raspberyl - Mr.This is my first Disgaea game, and now that I've just unlocked the Carnage Dimension, I've got a couple of questions about how under the hood systems work.ġ) Stats, where do they come from where do they go? So I see every basic stat has basically 2 visible things associated with it. Using an 'Unopened Drink' will spawn an 'Opened Drink' in the player's inventory.Using a 'Mint Gum' will spawn an 'ABC Gum' in the player's inventory.Note: Items that recover both HP and SP can only be found off the bonus gauge or received from the hospital. These values may change due to Specialists or Rarity values for the item. Note: For all recovery items, these are what the items normally recover to a character. How many spaces away the characters can be to use the items is noted below in the 'Range' field. A player's character can use an item, then target another ally to receive the item's recovery. Something special to note is that these items do not require that the character who uses it receives the recovery. (Or in some cases, the Hospital as a reward). No enemy will ever carry them, they can only be bought from the store, or received from the Bonus Gauge. This section covers items that appear in Disgaea 2 that can not be equipped, but rather used by selecting 'Item' from the attack menu when any one character is selected.
